6. Addressing Concerns About Transgender Inclusion in Gender-Specific Sessions

We fully acknowledge that many individuals choose gender-specific sessions for specific reasons, including privacy, comfort, and safety, particularly if they have experienced trauma. We take these concerns seriously and aim to create an environment where everyone feels safe and respected.

- Supporting All Customers: While we are committed to inclusivity and welcoming transgender individuals into gender-specific sessions, we also understand that this may present challenges for some customers. We are here to support everyone and will work with customers on a case-by-case basis to find solutions that respect everyone’s needs.

- Accommodation Options: If a customer feels uncomfortable sharing a session with transgender individuals, we will offer alternative options where possible. These may include recommending different session times, providing access to private sessions, or arranging alternative sessions. We will also explore options such as trauma-informed sessions that offer additional support and sensitivity to the needs of customers who have experienced trauma.

- Balancing Inclusivity and Comfort: While we cannot exclude transgender individuals from gender-specific sessions, we strive to create an environment where everyone’s needs are respected and met to the best of our ability.

7. Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment

Under 18s Policy

To ensure the safety and well-being of all our guests, we have established the following policy regarding sauna use for individuals under the age of 18:

  1. Age Requirement and Supervision:
Guests must be at least 12 years old to use the sauna. Guests aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18 years or older) at all times while using the sauna. The supervising adult is responsible for monitoring the young person's health and behavior and ensuring that all sauna rules and guidelines are followed.

  2. Health and Safety:
The intense heat of the sauna can pose health risks, particularly for younger individuals, who may be more sensitive to high temperatures. Guests under 18 should limit their sauna sessions to a maximum of 10 minutes and stay hydrated before and after use. If the young person experiences dizziness, discomfort, or any other symptoms, they should leave the sauna immediately.

  3. Behavioral Expectations:
All guests, including those under 18, are expected to behave respectfully and adhere to all sauna rules. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the sauna area.

  4. Waiver and Consent:
Before using the sauna, guests under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. This waiver acknowledges the potential risks associated with sauna use and grants permission for the young person to participate.

  5. Restricted Times and Events:
We reserve the right to designate certain events and time slots as 18+ only.

We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable sauna experience for all our guests. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation with this policy.

This version maintains the original intent while enhancing readability and ensuring that the language is clear and consistent throughout.

Essential Oils Policy

Essential Oils Policy.

To ensure the safety, comfort, and overall experience of all our guests, the use of essential oils is not permitted within our saunas. This policy is in place for the following reasons:‌

  1. Safety:
Essential oils are highly flammable substances. Without being properly diluted in water, even a small amount of oil can pose a significant fire risk.

  2. Allergies:
Many people have sensitivities or allergies to various essential oils. In a shared space like a sauna, the use of oils could lead to unintended allergic reactions, respiratory issues, or skin irritations for other guests.

  3. Excessive Usage:
Essential oils can be very potent, detracting from the natural experience of the sauna, and disturbing other guests.

  4. Quality:
The quality and purity of essential oils can vary greatly. Introducing oils of unknown quality can affect the air quality and overall experience in the sauna.

In our guided Aufguss sessions our practitioners will use their training to use essential oils safely, and guests will be informed in advance that essential oils will be used.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy. Our goal is to provide a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable environment for everyone. Thank you for respecting our guidelines.

Disabled Access Policy

Purpose

At Luna Hut , we are dedicated to providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all visitors, including those with disabilities. While we acknowledge the current limitations in accessibility, particularly due to our location on a stony beach and the current design of our saunas, we are committed to transparency, support, and continuous improvement to meet the needs of all our guests.

Accessibility Information

We have a current lack in accessibility features, such as ramps, modified seating, and beach wheelchairs. Our saunas are not wheelchair accessible, and access to the saunas involves steps.

The stony beach may present challenges for visitors with mobility impairments. The ground at the sauna site consists of beach pebbles and wooden decking. We recommend wearing flip-flops when moving around the area. Once inside the sauna the walkway is fairly narrow and the floor is a non-slip lino.

Assistance and Support

- Staff Assistance: Our staff can offer assistance where possible, including helping visitors navigate the beach and access the sauna safely. However, we cannot provide professional or specialist mobility assistance.

- Companions: Visitors with disabilities are encouraged to bring a companion or personal assistant for additional support, at no extra charge. To apply for a free assistant ticket, please email us at info@lunahutsauna.co.uk

Booking and Reservations

- Advanced Notice: We strongly encourage visitors with disabilities or specific needs to notify us in advance so we can discuss how best to accommodate them during their visit. This will help us ensure that we can provide the necessary support.

Commitment to Improvement

- Future Enhancements: We are committed to exploring ways to improve the accessibility of our sauna as resources allow. Feedback from visitors will play a key role in guiding these improvements. Feedback can be submitted in person, via email, or through our website. We have plans to build an accessible sauna in the near future.

Accessible Facilities

- Changing Areas and Cold Plunges: Our changing areas and cold plunges have steps, and access may be challenging for those with limited mobility. There are no accessible toilets on-site, but accessible toilets are available nearby.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to provide the best possible experience for all our guests, and we are committed to future improvement in our accessibility offerings.
